About this multi-colour stone collar

This is a light chain collar for cats and small dogs: 15, 20 and 30 cm neck, each with a 10 cm extension so the fit is set on the animal rather than guessed at the counter. The extension matters commercially as well as practically — one size covers a range of necks, so a shop can hold three SKUs instead of eight. Stones are set along the chain in single colours and in mixed runs, with AB as the iridescent option.

The stones are acrylic, not crystal and not glass. Colour sits in the material, so it does not flake off a coating, but acrylic scratches and can dull where it rubs against fur and buckles; that is the honest trade for the weight and the price point. The chain is alloy, plated, not stainless. The lobster clasp opens when the trigger is pressed and stays closed otherwise, which means it does not release under load — supervised wear is the right instruction, and a cat collar in particular should not be left on unsupervised.

Questions about this multi-colour stone collar

Are the stones crystal?

No. They are acrylic. The design name uses the word crystal because that is what the shape is modelled on, but the material line says acrylic, and we will not invoice it as crystal or glass.

Is the extension included with every size?

Yes, each of the 15, 20 and 30 cm collars comes with a 10 cm extension. If you want a different extension length, that is a separate chain cut and we quote it as one.

Will the colours fade?

Colour is in the acrylic rather than a surface coating, so it does not flake. What does happen is scratching and dulling where the stones rub, which is normal for acrylic and is why this sits at a lighter wear level than a glass-set collar.

Can a cat wear this unsupervised?

No. The lobster clasp holds, but it does not release under load, so this is a supervised-wear collar. If you need a release, choose a band collar with a breakaway buckle instead.
