Minimums, mixing materials, and how a price is built
MOQ per design, stock against custom, and the line-by-line quote you will receive.
What is your minimum order quantity?
Stock lines start at 10 pcs per design, with dispatch in 7–15 days. For custom development the minimum is 30 pcs per design in 925 sterling silver, 50 pcs in 316L stainless steel, and 30 pcs in brass or copper. A mould is a one-off cost, so it is paid once and reorders do not repeat it.
Can I mix materials and designs in one order?
Yes. Most first orders are mixed: a few designs across two or three materials in one carton. The minimum applies per design, not per order, so 10 pcs of one design and 10 pcs of another is a valid order — and it lets you test the same silhouette in silver and in brass before you commit to volume.
Do I need a production-ready design file to start?
No. A sketch, a competitor photo, a link or a teardown sample is enough for a first quote. If you want the shape changed, our designers produce a CAD drawing in 48 hours. If you already have a production-ready file, we quote straight from it.
How is the price built up?
Line by line, never as a single lump sum: metal or base, plating thickness in microns, stones, findings, packaging and freight all appear separately. That is deliberate. When the silver price moves, you see it move on the metal line instead of wondering which number we adjusted.
Is there a lower price at volume?
Yes, and it is published rather than negotiated blindly. Indicative silver ranges are quoted at 100 pcs ($6.50 – 80.00 per piece across the range), and steel and brass at 500 pcs ($0.60 – 9.50) and 500 pcs ($0.55 – 8.80). Above those tiers the unit price keeps falling; below them it rises.

Which materials do you work in?
Three, each published across the same eight categories: best sellers, trending, rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, charms and sets. They are 925 sterling silver, 316L stainless steel, and brass or copper with gold, rose gold or rhodium plating — 24 category pages and 390 published designs to start from.
How do I choose between silver, steel and brass?
By what your customer will do with the piece. Sterling silver is a real precious metal for boutique price points, and it is priced on the metal, so its quote moves with the market. 316L stainless steel does not tarnish or mark skin and has the lowest unit cost, which makes it the volume and everyday-wear line. Brass and copper take a rich 18K-look colour and hold fine detail at the entry price point, with plating life as the trade-off.
How thick is the plating, and how long does it last?
Plating is quoted per micron, typically 0.5–3 µm, and the thickness is stated on every line of the quotation. Thin decorative plating suits a one-season piece; a thicker PVD layer is what we recommend for daily wear. Because cost scales with thickness, you choose the lifespan you are paying for — and we will say plainly when a price point only supports a seasonal piece.
Will gold-plated brass turn my customer's skin green?
Unplated copper and brass can leave a faint green trace, because the base metal reacts with sweat and salts. That is chemistry, not a defect. Three things prevent it: keep the plating continuous on every surface that touches skin, specify a clear lacquer or e-coat on the inside, and use stainless steel posts and backs on earrings. We flag it design by design rather than leaving you to find out from a return.
How do I know I am getting 316L and not cheaper 304?
Ask for two things. A material test report for the batch states the molybdenum (2–3%) and nickel (10–14%) content. For a field check, a molybdenum testing liquid turns a specific colour on 316L and stays clear on 304. Do not rely on a magnet: finished 316L jewellery reads slightly magnetic after casting and polishing, so a magnet that sticks proves nothing.
Do you supply REACH and nickel-release documents?
To your specification and per order. REACH and RoHS declarations, EN 1811 nickel-release testing (0.5 µg/cm²/week for items in prolonged skin contact), salt-spray testing and third-party laboratory testing can all be arranged, and each appears as its own line on the quotation. We do not claim one certificate covers every style: ask for the current report for the exact alloy, plating and market in your specification.
Sampling & production

How long does a custom sample take?
Material by material: 10–15 days for 925 sterling silver, 7–12 days for 316L stainless steel, and 7–12 days for brass or copper, which is inside our published 7–15 days sampling window. The clock starts when we have the full specification, not when you first email, so the fastest route is one message with a sketch, a size and a target price.
Is the sample free?
No, and any supplier who says otherwise has built the cost into something else. A sample is a real finished piece and is charged as a sample; that cost is credited against your production run. The mould is a separate one-off, so a reorder does not repeat the tooling charge.
How long is production after I approve the sample?
20–30 days for 925 sterling silver, 15–25 days for 316L stainless steel, and 12–20 days for brass and copper, counted from written sample approval. A stock line is different: designs on the stock lines dispatch in 7–15 days.
Can I see progress while my order is in production?
Yes. We send photographs of your pieces at each production milestone — the raw casting, the polished blanks and the plated finish — before anything is packed. QC runs against the approved drawing, so if a weight or a plating run is off, you hear it from us while it is still fixable rather than after the cartons ship.
Can you make a lighter version of a design to hit a price point?
Often, and we would rather discuss it than quietly shave the metal. Hollow forming, a tapered band or a thinner chain can take 30–40% of the weight out of a piece. The trade-off is that very light silver dents easily, so we will tell you where the floor is — or suggest moving that design to stainless steel instead.
Do you stamp or hallmark the pieces?
On request, at no extra cost: 925, S925, or your own logo laser-engraved inside a band or on a clasp tag. If your market requires a specific hallmark wording, send it to us and we will confirm it on the drawing before production.
Logistics & payment
Freight, packaging and how an order is paid for
Routes, private label, consolidation and the payment terms written on the proforma invoice.
Which countries do you ship to?
Worldwide — stock and custom orders both ship from Guangdong, China. Freight is quoted for your specific route, whether that is a courier, air freight or sea freight, and the Incoterm you choose is stated on the quotation.
Do you offer private label and custom packaging?
Yes. Your mark can go on the jewellery itself (engraving or a stamp) and on the packaging: printed boxes, cards and pouches. Packaging is quoted as its own line, so you can see exactly what the branded version adds before you commit to it.
Can you ship to my freight forwarder or 3PL?
Yes. Send the forwarder's address and any labelling or carton-marking requirement and we will pack to it. Mixed orders are consolidated into as few cartons as the quantity allows, and we photograph the packed cartons before they leave.
How is payment handled?
Terms are written on the proforma invoice before you pay anything: currency, deposit and balance, and our bank details. Nothing is agreed verbally. On a first order we normally ask for a deposit to release production and the balance against the pre-shipment photographs; the exact split depends on the order value and is stated on the invoice rather than negotiated afterwards.
How fast will I get a reply?

What is the fastest way to get an accurate price?
Put four things in one message: the pieces (with a photo or sketch), the material or “not sure yet”, the quantity, and the destination country. With those four, the first reply is a usable price rather than a request for more information.
