About this beaded heart collar

The construction is a strung strand: imitation pearl beads with acrylic beads spaced through them, and a heart motif at the centre. Because it is strung rather than linked, the collar has weight and follows the neck like a necklace, which is the effect buyers are after for photos and for a gift box. Colours run in yellow, pink and blue with the same bead layout, so a small colour card covers the range without new tooling.

The material line is the part to read closely. The pearls are imitation pearl, and the coloured beads are acrylic — neither is a cultured or freshwater pearl, and there is no shell pearl in this design. That is not a downgrade to hide: it is what keeps the piece light enough for a small neck and at an accessible price, and it is stable in colour because the colour is in the bead. Questions about this beaded heart collar

Are these real pearls?

No. The pearls are imitation pearl and the coloured beads are acrylic. There is no freshwater, cultured or shell pearl in this collar, and the spec line says so.

Is the heart a metal charm?

The heart is part of the strung design at the centre of the strand. If the exact construction matters to your listing, ask for a sample and we will confirm it on the piece rather than describe it from a drawing.

Does the clasp release?

No. It is a lobster clasp, opened by hand at the trigger, so it does not release under load. Recommend supervised wear, especially on cats.

What fails first on a beaded collar?

The thread and the knots where the strand meets the clasp, and the plating on the clasp itself. Check both on a sample, and keep the collar off wet fur where you can.
