Pet
Pet jewellery and ID tags, made for the collar, not the wrist
This is the one line on the site that is not a single material. Pet tags and collars are made in whatever the end product needs — 304 or 316L stainless steel for a tag that gets scratched, zinc alloy or plated aluminium for a cheaper collar, and imitation pearl or polyester for a fashion band. Every product page states the material of that product, and we do not move a design from one base to another without telling you.

ID Tags
A pet tag is read at arm's length by a stranger holding a frightened animal, so the only specification that matters is whether the engraving is legible at finished size.

Pet Collars
These are display and fashion collars — a chain, a bead band or a rhinestone row that photographs well.

Pet
Pet jewellery is bought on different logic from human jewellery. The buyer is usually adding a low-price add-on to an existing order — a tag that sells for two or three dollars at retail, a collar photographed on a dog for a marketplace listing. That means the winning product is not the most refined one, it is the one that survives a chewing puppy and still photographs well.
So we separate the two jobs. A tag is judged on engraving legibility and on how the plating survives daily wear against a metal ring. A collar is judged on the clasp — a cat collar that does not release under load is a safety problem, not a style problem, which is why the fashion band collars here use a breakaway buckle rather than a buckle that only looks secure.
The material list is deliberately not uniform. Asking for 316L on a two-dollar tag is usually the wrong call; asking for zinc alloy on a tag that goes to a coastal market is the other wrong call. Tell us where it ships and we will tell you which base we would use for that price point.
- ✓Engraving on the tag is priced per side, not per character — send the artwork and we will confirm legibility at the finished size before tooling
- ✓Stainless tags are 304 or 316L as stated per design; zinc alloy and plated aluminium are named as such and never described as stainless
- ✓Breakaway buckles on cat collars, standard buckles on dog collars — the clasp is written on every collar page
- ✓Imitation pearl and polyester bands are labelled as such; we do not call a plastic pearl a freshwater pearl
- ✓Same carton, same minimum, no separate packing charge when mixed with a jewellery order
| Fact | Detail |
|---|---|
| Base materials | 304 / 316L stainless steel, zinc alloy, plated aluminium, imitation pearl, polyester — stated per product |
| Tag sizes in this line | roughly 20–45 mm across, 1.2–1.8 mm thick; the supplier-printed size is quoted on the page where it exists |
| Collar lengths | 20–60 cm depending on design, adjustable or fixed; measured as neck circumference, not as a human necklace length |
| Safety | Breakaway buckle on the fashion band collars for cats; a fixed clasp is used only where the design is a display piece |
| Engraving | Laser or stamping, one or both sides; artwork proofed at finished size before tooling |
| Packing | Individual poly bag as standard; backing card or display box on request |
Pricing
Indicative pricing for pet
Ranges are ex-works and published per item type. The final quotation is itemised against your own weight, size and plating, so it will sit inside — or explain why it sits outside — the band you see here.
| Item | Typical specification | Indicative ex-works | What it assumes |
|---|---|---|---|
| ID tag or nameplate | Metal base | $0.25 – 1.20 | At 500 pcs. Blank or engraved; a bell, a colour fill or a rhinestone face moves it up |
| Collar, chain or necklace | Mixed base | $1.00 – 4.50 | At 500 pcs. Chain width and length drive the cost; pearl and fabric bands sit at the low end |
Care
What your customer has to know
Every material has one honest caveat. Print it on the card and you will not see it again in a return.
- Wipe a plated tag with a dry cloth after it has been in water — chlorine and sea salt are what take plating off, not everyday wear.
- A stainless tag can stay on the collar permanently; a plated one will last longer if it comes off for swimming.
- Check the ring that attaches the tag to the collar — a tag is usually lost through the split ring, not through the tag itself.
