Most ‘custom’ suppliers mean one of these. We mean all six, and each one is priced as its own line so you can trade between them.
Material
925 sterling silver, 316L stainless steel, brass or copper. We will say when a design belongs in a different material from the one you asked for, and quote both so you can see the difference.
Plating
Yellow gold, rose gold, rhodium, black or steel blue, thickness stated in microns. PVD for steel, electroplating where a heavier micron count is needed.
Stone setting
Prong, bezel, pavé, channel or flush. Stone size, count and colour specified on the drawing; CZ, glass, crystal or natural stone.
Size run
US, EU/ISO or UK standards. Half sizes at no extra cost; the standard is fixed on the approved drawing so there is nothing to dispute later.
Your mark
Laser engraving, hand-stamping, a charm tag, a clasp tag or an inside-band stamp. We photograph the first marked piece for approval.
Packaging
Printed boxes, cards, pouches, belly bands and tamper seals. This is usually the cheapest way to make one order feel like a brand, and it is quoted as its own line.

CAD drawing
Within 48 hours. We produce a dimensioned drawing: weight, band or link sizes, stone counts, plating thickness and the position of your mark. Nothing is made until you approve this drawing, so changes are free at this stage and expensive afterwards.

Physical sample
In 7–15 days. The drawing becomes a sample in your material and plating. You wear it, photograph it and show it to your customer. Sample cost is quoted as its own line and credited against the production run, and what you approve is what we make.

12–30 days. Production runs to the approved sample. Plating thickness, clasp cycle testing and stone security are checked on the run, and you get photographs at each milestone rather than a silent wait.

Inside the process
How a custom piece is actually made
Six stages, each with something you inspect before we continue.
CAD drawing
Every custom order starts as a dimensioned drawing: weight, sizes, stone count, plating thickness and where your mark sits.
Master model
The wax or resin master is cut from the approved drawing. Changes are cheap here and expensive later, which is why nothing is cast before you sign.
Casting
Silver and brass are cast from the mould; steel is machined and formed. Either way the sample you approve and the production run come off the same tooling.
Polishing
Hand finishing decides how the piece reads in the hand. Mirror, satin, brushed and sandblasted finishes are all bench work, not print.
Plating
PVD runs in a vacuum chamber and bonds at a molecular level; electroplating runs in a bath and can be laid on thicker. Thickness goes on the quotation either way.
Inspection
Callipers on the dimensions, a loupe on the settings and the finish, and clasp cycle testing on the closures. Photographs before the carton is sealed.
Private label
Take a stock shape, put your mark on it
Private label is the middle path between buying stock and developing a design. You choose a silhouette from the site, add your logo and size run, and we produce it under your name — with no design or tooling fee, because the shape already exists.
It is usually the right first step for a brand: cheaper than a fully custom design, far more defensible than unbranded stock, and it gives you something to photograph, price and sell while a bespoke collection is developed.

Sampling
What sampling costs and what it buys you
Sampling is where a design is de-risked. We quote it as its own line and credit it against the production run, so the only real cost of sampling is the calendar.

What buyers ask before the first drawing
Including the two answers that are no.
Do I need a technical drawing to start?
No. Most projects start from a photograph with rough dimensions, a sketch on paper, or a physical sample posted to us. We turn that into a dimensioned drawing and send it back for approval, and that drawing is where the real conversation happens — weight, size standard, plating thickness and where your mark goes.
What is the minimum order for a custom design?
30 pcs per design in 925 sterling silver and in brass, and 50 pcs per design in 316L stainless steel. The minimum exists because a mould or a machining setup is a one-off cost, so reorders do not repeat it. Industry practice for steel is usually 50–100 pieces per style, which is why 50 pcs is a deliberately low start.
How much does a sample cost, and do I get it back?
Sampling is quoted as its own line because it depends on the material, the stone count and the plating. We credit the sample cost against your production run, so if you proceed the sample effectively costs nothing. One round of design revisions on the drawing is included; further rounds are quoted.
Can you copy a design I saw somewhere else?
We can work from a reference for proportion and construction, but we do not reproduce another brand's protected design, and we will not put someone else's logo on a piece. If what you like is a silhouette, we will develop a version of it in our own construction and show you the drawing first. If you want that exact protected piece, the honest answer is no.
What if I need the order for a specific date?
Tell us the date with the brief, not after the sample. Sampling (7–15 days) plus production (12–30 days depending on material) plus freight is the realistic chain, and testing for a regulated market adds its own lead time. If the calendar does not work we will say so immediately rather than take the order and miss it.
Can you develop a whole collection, not just one piece?
Yes, and it is more efficient than piece-by-piece development because the design decisions reinforce each other. Send the assortment you have in mind — how many rings, chains, earrings and charms, and the retail price points — and we will come back with drawings for the set plus the price per piece at your quantity.
