925 Sterling Silver
Silver is the material buyers ask the hardest questions about, because unlike plating it has a public price. At the September 2026 spot price of about $64.50 an ounce (≈$2.08 per gram), a gram of 925 silver carries roughly $1.92 of metal before any work is done. A 3 g ring therefore starts around $5.80 in metal alone — which is why a silver quote moves when the market moves, and why we publish weight in every spec table instead of a single headline price.
What you get for the rest of the price is craft: casting, filing and polishing by hand, the setting, and the finish. Two rings of the same weight can differ by 40% because one is hollow-formed and the other is solid cast, or because one carries a rhodium flash to stop tarnish and the other does not.
For a brand, silver is the price point that lets you sell a real precious metal at a boutique retail figure. For a wholesaler, it is the line that needs the clearest weight discipline — we will tell you when a design should be built lighter, or moved to stainless steel, rather than quietly shaving the metal.

Care
What your customer has to know
Every material has one honest caveat. Print it on the card and you will not see it again in a return.
- Store pieces dry and individually — silver scratches silver.
- Remove before swimming pools and hot springs; chlorides attack the copper phase.
- A silver polishing cloth restores the shine; abrasive dips remove the oxidised finish we apply on purpose.
- If you order unplated silver, tell your customer the truth: it will need occasional polishing. If you would rather not, take the rhodium flash.
