About this earring range in three-pair packs

The photographs show a range of around thirty earring designs rather than three pairs. There are plain metal hoops and huggies in several diameters, cubic zirconia hoops, small pave hoops and solitaire studs, imitation pearl studs, and a group of nature motifs — scallop shell, dolphin and starfish — as both studs and small drops. Mixed in are black-stone and green-stone hoops and a cross-drop stud, so the range covers everyday metal, a little sparkle and a few themed pieces from one source.

The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. No. The pearl styles are imitation pearl, not a natural saltwater pearl, and the clear stones are cubic zirconia rather than a natural stone.
