About this rhinestone heart id tag

This is the dressiest tag in the group and it is bought for how it looks, so the setting matters more than the engraving. The rhinestones are glued into a recessed field inside a raised heart border; the border is what stops the stones taking the knocks, and on a cheaper build without it you lose stones from the outer row within weeks. At 4 by 3.5 cm and 12 g it is a substantial tag, and the bell is supplied with it in the matching finish rather than as an afterthought.

Two things to settle before you order. The first is weight: 12 g plus a bell is a lot to hang on a small dog's collar, and it is a better fit for medium and large breeds or for a cat that stays indoors. The second is stone retention and plating — the stones are rhinestones on a foil backing, so the sparkle is a glass-bright look rather than a cut gemstone and the price reflects that. Plating on zinc alloy is always the wear point, and rose gold is the finish where shade drift between batches shows most, so approve a plated sample before a repeat run.

Questions about this rhinestone heart id tag

Do the stones fall out?

They are glued into a recessed field inside a raised border, which is what keeps the outer row off hard surfaces. Retention still depends on wear, so this is a display and supervised-wear tag rather than one to leave on a dog that works rough ground.

Are these crystals?

No. They are rhinestones: foil-backed stones with a glass-bright face. We describe them that way because the price and the sparkle both depend on it.

Can I order it without the bell?

Yes. The bell is supplied as standard in the matching finish, but it hangs on its own ring, so it can be left off at packing. Say so on the order.

Where does the engraving go?

On the back. The front is the paved stone field, so there is no flat area for type there. Back-face text is quoted per design and confirmed on a proof.
