About this coin disc tassel necklace
This is one necklace, not a layered set: a curb chain runs the full length, and along the front arc a row of round metal discs is hung from it, one disc per short length of chain. Each disc is plain, polished on both faces and dished very slightly in the centre, so it catches light at an angle instead of reading as a flat washer. The discs hang from small rings, which is what gives the row its movement — the fringe swings against the chain as the wearer turns.
There are no stones anywhere on the piece, and no engraving or lettering on the discs, so the whole effect comes from polished gold tone against the link texture of the chain. That keeps it easy to sell beside plain curb chains without competing with them: it is the same chain language, with a row added along the front. Because the fringe is fixed to the chain, there is nothing to detach or lose, and the necklace packs flat.

The grade, in plain terms
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. Questions about this coin disc tassel necklace
Is the fringe a second chain?
No. There is one chain. The discs are hung directly from the front arc of that chain on small rings, so the necklace is a single piece and nothing has to be layered.
Are the discs stones or actual coins?
Neither. They are plain polished steel discs, dished slightly in the centre, with no stone set into them and no engraved face or lettering. They are described as coin-like only because of the round shape.
Will the row sit flat when it is worn?
The discs hang from small rings, so they drop and swing with the chain instead of lying stiff. That movement is the point of the design; when the necklace is off, the row lies flat for packing.
