The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. Is this a bracelet or an ankle chain?

It is an ankle chain. Every piece in the listing is built to sit at the ankle, is ordered to your size and carries an extension chain so the wearer can adjust the fit. If you want the same design for the wrist, we build it as a bracelet on request.

How many designs are in the listing?

The range holds many designs; the strands stay the same and the charms change. Pick the motifs your market sells and we quote per design, so you are not committed to the whole range.

Are the clear stones diamonds or natural stones?
