One design, built as a two-layer neck. The inner strand is a slim gold-toned chain carrying a crescent-moon pendant engraved with a small star, so the motif sits high on the chest. Around it falls a second strand strung with faceted stone beads in amber, brown and cream tones, which dips lower and ends in a faceted stone drop set in a gold bezel. The two strands join at the top, so it is one piece rather than two chains to stack.
The beads and the drop are described plainly as stone: we do not certify a species or grade them as a natural gem, and the mix of shades can be matched to the palette you sell. Because the strand is strung on wire between the beads, the beads take the wear rather than the chain, and the moon is a solid steel casting rather than a plated stamp. The grade, in plain terms
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design.
