About this natural stone tassel earrings
This is a range, not one earring: two designs on one construction. Each earring hangs from a stud and then runs downward in short links, so the drop is articulated at every joint and moves with the head instead of swinging as one stiff piece. The order is a stone bar, a set link, a second stone bar, and a drop stone at the end. The bars are cut rectangular with faceted edges, which gives them a flat face and a hard line against the gold tone, and each is held at both ends by a small gold-tone cap.
The two designs differ at the stud and at the links. The brown design carries one round cubic zirconia at the stud, a marquise-cut stone in the middle link and a pear-cut stone at the drop, so its line reads softer and more pointed. The blue design stacks three round stones at the stud, uses a round link in the middle and finishes on a round drop, so it reads as a column of circles against the blue bars. Both are natural stone, so banding, flecks and depth of colour shift from piece to piece — we agree a shade range on samples before a run, and quote per design.

The grade, in plain terms
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. Is this one earring or two designs?

What are the stones?
