About this paperclip anklet
This is one ankle chain, not a set: a single run of open, rounded rectangular links in the paperclip shape, joined end to end. The strand sits flat against the ankle without twisting, and the open profile lets light through, so it reads finer on the skin than its weight suggests. It is finished in a gold tone over 316L stainless steel. There are no stones, charms or drops on this piece — the link shape is the whole design.
Because it is plain, it works as a base layer: wear it alone, or pair it with a bead or cubic zirconia ankle chain. The chain closes with a lobster clasp and carries an extension chain as standard, so one chain covers a range of ankles and the drape can be set where you want it. We make it to the ankle measurement you give us rather than shipping a single fixed length. Steel tone and other finishes are available on request.

The grade, in plain terms
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.

How do I choose the length?
We do not ship one fixed length. Send the ankle measurement and the drape you want and we make the ankle chain to that size; an extension chain is included as standard.
Is this a bracelet or an anklet?
It is an ankle chain, worn at the ankle. The same link shape can also be made as a bracelet on request, quoted as a separate line.
Will the gold finish wear off?
The finish is electroplated over 316L stainless steel. Plating thickness drives wear life, so we set it per order and quote it rather than promising a fixed period.
Can it be worn in water?
316L stainless steel is the steel we use for everyday, shower-safe wear, and this chain is built for that. We do not claim a fixed colour-retention period; plating thickness is confirmed per order.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
