316L Signet Ring
Solid 316L stainless steel signet with a flat face for engraving. Steel holds a sharper mark than silver, never tarnishes and never turns skin green — the version of a signet that survives daily wear.
Stainless Steel Rings · Stainless Steel · MOQ 50 pcs
A wide-faced band ring in 316L stainless steel, gold toned and mirror polished. The face is an open saddle: broad and gently domed across the top, tapering to a slim shank so the ring sits flat on the finger. Worn alone as a statement, or stacked with slimmer bands.

Overview
This is a single band ring, and the shape does the work. The face is wide and gently domed, forming an open saddle that curves up at the shoulders, while the shank behind the finger is deliberately slim so the ring stays comfortable through a working day. The finish is a high mirror polish, so the gold tone reads as one continuous surface rather than a series of facets. There is no stone in this piece.
Because the design is plain, it works as a base ring for a wall or a stack: it carries a look on its own and also sits above or below slimmer bands. It is one style, ordered per size and quoted to the sizes your market sells, so tell us what your customers buy and we will quote on that basis. The plain, broad face is also the piece to start from if you want a marking; artwork and placement are confirmed at quote.

Materials
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| 316L stainless steel | The band is 316L, so it does not tarnish and is safe for daily wear against skin. |
| Gold tone | Gold toned over steel; the exact tone and its thickness are quoted per project. |
| Plain polished face | No stone and no setting, so there is no prong to catch on knitwear and the face takes a mark. |
316L
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.
| Property | 316L stainless steel |
|---|---|
| Designation | 316L (AISI/ASTM) · SUS316L under JIS · 1.4404 under EN |
| Composition | Chromium 16–18%, nickel 10–14%, molybdenum 2–3%, carbon 0.03% max |
| Why 316L and not 304 or 201 | Molybdenum is what resists chlorides, and neither of the cheaper grades contains any |
| Tarnish and rust | Does not tarnish, and does not rust from everyday wear, sweat or water |
| Skin | Hypoallergenic for most wearers, and not nickel-free — it contains 10–14% nickel by specification |
| Specified for | Surgical implants (ASTM F138) and marine fittings, which is where the “surgical” and “marine grade” labels come from |
Best for
A single wide band carries a look on its own or anchors a stack.
Its slim shank sits above or below thinner bands for a mixed set.
A plain, broad face suits marked or personalised ranges.
