About this 316l signet ring
The signet is the easiest ring in the steel range to make yours, because the face is a blank plate: send an initial, a monogram or a vector mark and it is a scaling exercise rather than a new drawing. We cast it in 316L, file the face flat, then cut the detail by laser or hand-stamp.
Two decisions move the cost. Weight is the first — a 3 g build and a 6 g build are the same drawing at a materially different price. The second is the face finish: engraved, stamped or masked with black PVD. Steel itself is the cheap part here, so on this ring the finish is usually the line that decides the unit price.

FAQ
Questions about this 316l signet ring
How do I know this is really 316L and not 304?
Ask for the material test report for the batch, which states the molybdenum and nickel content — 2–3% and 10–14% respectively for 316L. Do not rely on a magnet: finished and polished 316L reads slightly magnetic, so a magnet that sticks proves nothing either way. A molybdenum testing liquid is the quick field check; it changes colour on 316L and stays clear on 304.
Will the ring turn my finger green or react to sweat?
No. 316L contains no copper to leach and resists sweat, perfume and salt water, so it does not tarnish, rust or leave a mark on skin. That is the main reason we put this design in steel rather than silver — it is sold to be worn continuously. If you want the piece gold-toned, we default to a PVD layer, which is harder and more abrasion-resistant than an electroplated coating of the same colour.
Can you engrave our own logo into the face?
Yes. Send a vector file, a sketch or a photograph with dimensions and we produce a CAD drawing for approval before anything is cut. Laser gives the crispest edge for fine lettering; a hand-stamp gives a deeper, softer impression but only suits simple letters. Coverage and depth decide the engraving cost, so we quote it as its own line rather than folding it into the ring price.
