About this cord heart pendant necklaces

This is a listing of three heart necklaces rather than one. Each is the same plump heart, cast in 316L steel and finished in gold tone, holding a domed cabochon and hung from a rope-twist bail. The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. Questions about this cord heart pendant necklaces

Is the heart a stone or amber?

Neither. The inlay is resin, set as a domed cabochon into the gold-tone frame. It is not a natural stone and it is not amber, so the colour and gloss stay even across a repeat order.

Do I have to order all three colourways?

No. Each colourway is quoted as its own line, so you can take the pearly white, the amber or the black alone, or mix them. Ask us for a quote on the ones you want and we will confirm which are in production now.

Is it a chain or a cord?

It is a black waxed cord with a rope-twist bail, not a metal chain, so it wears close and light on the neck.
