Paperclip Link Chain Bracelet
Paperclip-link chains in steel and gold tone, cut to the length you sell — bracelet or short necklace.
Stainless Steel Bracelets · Stainless Steel · MOQ 50 pcs
A family of gold-toned 316L stainless steel link bracelets where flat, mirror-polished plates run along a fine chain — oval bar plates, open kite shapes, round discs and small triangles, plus a wavy ribbed band. The same plates are also made as a necklace length.

Overview
These bracelets are built from flat, mirror-polished plates strung on a fine chain, so the metal reads as a repeating series of shapes rather than a uniform link. The range covers oval bar plates, open kite or rhombus links, round discs and small triangular plates; a wavy ribbed band leads the family, where short curved bars sit edge to edge. Because every plate is smooth and unset, the surface takes engraving and a light scratch-brush finish well.
The same plates are also run as a necklace length, which the model photographs show, so a matched bracelet-and-necklace pair can be ordered from one design. Each shape is quoted as its own line, so a range can be assembled from a single order rather than one shape at a time. The finish is gold tone over steel, and a steel-tone version is quoted on request.

Materials
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| 316L stainless steel | The plates, the fine links and the clasp are 316L, so the bracelet does not tarnish and is safe for daily wear. |
| Polished flat plates | The plates are smooth, unset metal rather than stone or enamel, so there is no stone to fall and the face can be engraved. |
| Gold tone | Electroplated gold over steel; plating thickness is quoted per micron. |
316L
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.
| Property | 316L stainless steel |
|---|---|
| Designation | 316L (AISI/ASTM) · SUS316L under JIS · 1.4404 under EN |
| Composition | Chromium 16–18%, nickel 10–14%, molybdenum 2–3%, carbon 0.03% max |
| Why 316L and not 304 or 201 | Molybdenum is what resists chlorides, and neither of the cheaper grades contains any |
| Tarnish and rust | Does not tarnish, and does not rust from everyday wear, sweat or water |
| Skin | Hypoallergenic for most wearers, and not nickel-free — it contains 10–14% nickel by specification |
| Specified for | Surgical implants (ASTM F138) and marine fittings, which is where the “surgical” and “marine grade” labels come from |
Best for
The shapes are made to layer, so a customer can build a stack from one order.
Because the same plates come in a necklace length, a bracelet-and-necklace pair is a single order.
316L and a plain clasp suit a piece that is worn daily.
