Multi-Stone Open Ring
Open-band rings set with three to four coloured cabochons — green, turquoise, red and deep blue looks, in steel and gold tone.
Stainless Steel Rings · Stainless Steel · MOQ 50 pcs
Three oval cabochons in the same stone stacked one above the other on an open band, so the stones climb the finger rather than run around it. Made in 316L stainless steel, in steel tone and gold tone.

Overview
This is a vertical stack rather than a row: three oval cabochons in the same stone are bezel-set one above the other, with the middle stone the largest, so the ring builds a column up the finger. The band is open, so it sizes itself and there is no size run to hold. One finish pairs a blue stone with a steel-tone band; the other pairs a warm honey-toned stone with a gold-tone band.
We want to be clear about how it differs from our multi-stone open ring, because the two are close on a shelf. That piece sets stones of different colours in a row along the band, spread around the finger. Here the three stones are the same stone stacked vertically — a column up the finger, not a spread around it. The stone is supplied as a cabochon and the property sheet does not name a mineral, so it is described by colour; specify the mineral you want and it is quoted separately.

Materials
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| 316L stainless steel | The band and settings are 316L, so the ring does not tarnish and is safe for daily wear. |
| Coloured stone | Three oval cabochons in the same stone. The property sheet does not name a mineral; if you need one specified we quote it separately. |
| Gold tone | Electroplated gold over steel; plating thickness is quoted per micron. |
316L
Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.
Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.
| Property | 316L stainless steel |
|---|---|
| Designation | 316L (AISI/ASTM) · SUS316L under JIS · 1.4404 under EN |
| Composition | Chromium 16–18%, nickel 10–14%, molybdenum 2–3%, carbon 0.03% max |
| Why 316L and not 304 or 201 | Molybdenum is what resists chlorides, and neither of the cheaper grades contains any |
| Tarnish and rust | Does not tarnish, and does not rust from everyday wear, sweat or water |
| Skin | Hypoallergenic for most wearers, and not nickel-free — it contains 10–14% nickel by specification |
| Specified for | Surgical implants (ASTM F138) and marine fittings, which is where the “surgical” and “marine grade” labels come from |
