About this cabochon stone ring range

This is a range, not one ring: four designs, each carrying a single cabochon on its own slim band. The first is a deep blue oval, the second a cream oval with dark spotting, the third a warm brown round, and the fourth a long marquise in the same warm brown. All four use the same construction — a plain metal bezel that wraps the stone edge, with a line of small clear stones walking down one side of the setting, so they read as a family on a card or in a tray.

The bands and settings are 316L stainless steel, the grade family also sold as SUS316L, so the rings do not tarnish and are hypoallergenic for everyday wear. The cabochons are natural stone, which means colour and pattern move from piece to piece; that variation is the point of the look, and we confirm the shade range with you before the run. The gold is 18K gold PVD, bonded in a vacuum chamber over the steel rather than electroplated on, with the plating thickness quoted per micron.

316L stainless steel	The band and bezel are 316L stainless steel, a marine-grade alloy with molybdenum at roughly 2-3% and chromium at 16-18%, which is why it does not tarnish and is safe against skin for daily wear.
Natural stone cabochons	The cabochons are natural stone, cut flat on top with no facets. Colour and pattern vary from piece to piece, so we confirm the shade range before a run.
18K gold PVD	The gold is 18K gold PVD, bonded in a vacuum chamber over the steel; plating thickness is quoted per micron.

316L

The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.

Is this one ring or a range?

It is a range of four rings: a deep blue oval, a cream oval with dark spotting, a warm brown round and a long brown marquise. Each design is quoted and packed as its own line, so you can take one or all four.

What are the stones?

They are natural stone cabochons, cut flat on top with no facets. Because they are natural, colour and pattern vary between pieces; tell us the shade range your market wants and we confirm it against samples before the run.

What grade of steel is it, and is it hypoallergenic?

The band and bezel are 316L stainless steel, the same grade family sold as SUS316L. It is hypoallergenic for most wearers and does not react with skin. It does contain nickel, around 10-14%, tightly bound in the alloy, so it stays low-sensitising for most wearers.

Can I order mixed sizes within one design?

Yes. Sizes are ordered to your run rather than held in stock, so a single design can be split across the sizes you sell. Give us the size breakdown per design and we quote and pack to it.

Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
