This is an open ring where the stone carries the design: one oval cabochon raised at the centre, with a small clear accent set into each shoulder so the band does not read plain. Because the band does not close, one size covers roughly a three-size spread and the wearer can adjust it — which removes a size run and most size-related returns.

The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. How is this different from your multi-stone open ring?

That band carries a run of stones along the arm. This one is a single-stone piece — one oval cabochon at the centre with only a small clear accent in each shoulder — so the look is quieter.

What is the stone?

It is a coloured stone cabochon — blue in steel tone and a warm brown in gold tone. The sheet does not name a mineral, so we describe it by look. Specify a mineral or shade and we quote it separately.

Will one size fit most customers?
