About this pearl pendant bead necklace

This is a bead necklace rather than a fine chain. Rounded stone beads run in two tones, separated by small accent beads, and a pearl is worked into the strand so the run is not a flat repeat. At the centre a gold-toned ring carries a single pearl drop, so the piece has a focal point instead of trailing off. It sits with more presence on the neck than a fine chain, which makes it work on its own or layered under a heavier piece.

It is not the same as our pearl station necklace, which is a fine chain with three pearls spaced along it. Here the whole strand is beads, with a pearl inset and a drop at the centre — a different weight and a different look. The beads are supplied as stone and the mineral is not named on the property sheet, so we describe them by tone; tell us a mineral or a shade and we quote it rather than assuming one. The supplier runs a couple of colour mixes.

316L

The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. If your market needs documentation with the goods, tell us and we will confirm what is available on this design before you order.

Is this the same as your pearl station necklace?

No. The pearl station necklace is a fine chain with three pearls spaced along it. This is a full bead strand with a pearl set into the run and a drop at the centre, so the look and the weight are different.

What are the beads?

Rounded beads supplied as stone in two tones. The mineral is not named on the property sheet, so we describe them by tone; tell us a mineral or a shade and we quote it separately.

Is the pearl a natural pearl?
