This is a ring stack rather than a single ring: the listing gathers a set of gold-toned steel bands, each built around a stone cabochon. The grade, in plain terms

Every design on this page is made in 316L stainless steel — the molybdenum-bearing austenitic grade, and the same grade specified for surgical implants and marine fittings. The “L” is low carbon, which is what keeps chain links and hollow forms sound at the joins.

Grades are worth stating rather than implying, because 316L, 304 and 201 look identical in a photograph and differ by real money per tonne. We name the grade on every design. Questions about this stone ring stack

How many rings are in this listing, and how is it quoted?

The sample stack runs to about ten rings, and the exact mix is confirmed per order because the supplier treats it as a family rather than one fixed bundle. Quoting is per piece, so you can take the whole stack or just the settings you want.

How is this different from your stackable ring set?

Ours is a set of slim, plain bands meant to be worn in multiples. Here every ring is set with a stone cabochon and the settings — dome, rope, open cuff — do the work, so it is a stone-collection look rather than a set of blanks.

What are the stones?

Coloured stone cabochons. The property sheet does not name a mineral, so we describe them by look — a blue, a soft green and a spotted stone among them. If you need a specified mineral or shade, tell us and we will quote it separately.

Can I order one ring rather than the stack?
