About this sterling silver signet ring
The signet is the most-ordered silver ring in the catalogue and the easiest to make yours, because the face is a blank plate: send an initial, a monogram or a vector mark and the design work is a scaling exercise rather than a new drawing. We cast it in solid 925 silver, file and polish the face flat, then engrave or raise the detail.
Two decisions shape the price. Weight is the first: a size 7 in a 3.5 g build and the same ring at 6 g are the same drawing and a materially different price, because at current silver prices the metal is most of the cost. The second is the face finish — engraved, hand-stamped or oxidised black for contrast. Both are quoted as their own line so you can see what the engraving actually adds.

Questions about this sterling silver signet ring
Can you cast the ring from my own artwork?
Yes. Send a vector file, a sketch or even a photograph with dimensions and we will produce a CAD drawing for approval before anything is cast. On a 30-piece order there is no design charge; on a smaller development order we quote the drawing as its own line and credit it against the production run.
How much does the engraving add?
It depends on coverage and depth, so we quote it as its own line rather than absorbing it into the ring price. As a rule of thumb, a single initial or a small mark is a minimal addition, while a full-face monogram or a crest needs a longer engraving pass and costs noticeably more. You will see both figures separately on the quotation.
Will the silver wear or deform?
Silver is softer than steel, and a signet has a flat face that takes knocks. We keep the band at 2.5 mm or above and can build the face slightly thicker behind the engraving. If the ring is going to be worn hard every day, we will usually say so and quote the same design in 316L steel as a comparison.
