About this engravable bar charm
A charm is an add-on, so it has to be cheap, light and easy to attach. This one is a small steel bar on a soldered jump ring that fits the chains and bracelets already in the range, which lets you sell personalisation without designing a new pendant for every line.
Steel is the right material for a charm because it takes a crisp laser mark and does not tarnish, so the text stays legible and the customer never has to polish it. The marking is the product: the bar is the blank, and coverage and depth are quoted as their own line so you can see what the artwork actually adds.

Questions about this engravable bar charm
Can I put my own artwork on the charm?
Yes. Send the text, the coordinates or a vector logo and we mark an approved sample before the run continues, so you judge the line weight on the actual bar rather than on a screen. Laser gives the crispest edge for small lettering, which is why we mark steel rather than cast the detail. Coverage and depth determine the marking cost, so it is quoted as its own line, separate from the bar.
Which chains and bracelets will it fit?
The soldered jump ring is sized to fit the chains and bracelets in this range — up to about 3 mm of link thickness, which covers the box, rope and lighter Cuban pieces. On a heavy 10–12 mm Cuban link the ring will not pass through the link, so for those tell us and we will specify a larger ring or a clip fitting instead.
Will the marking wear off?
No. Laser marking removes or fuses a shallow layer of the steel surface rather than printing on it, so there is nothing to rub off, and the 316L underneath does not tarnish or discolour. The charm can be worn in the shower and the sea. If you order a coated charm, note that the mark sits in the coating, so for a lifelong finish choose bare steel.
