Texture is the most economical way to give a ring presence. A polished wide band shows every mark it collects; a hammered face scatters the light and conceals the small scratches that a daily-wear ring always gets, which is why it is the finish we recommend for a ring that will be worn hard.
The hammering is bench work, not a moulding: each piece is struck by hand, so no two are identical. If you need the pattern to be identical piece to piece — for a catalogue photograph, or for a repeat order months later — tell us, and we will discuss a die-formed texture instead, which repeats exactly but reads slightly more mechanical.

A wide band feels tighter than a thin one at the same diameter, because more of the circumference is in contact with the finger. Order this design half a size up from your usual run unless you specify a comfort-fit profile, which we recommend above 6 mm.

Questions about this hammered wide band ring
Will the hammered pattern look the same on every piece?
No, and that is the honest answer for hand-hammering: each piece is struck individually, so the pattern varies slightly. Most buyers treat that as the point. If you need the pattern to be identical across pieces — which matters if the ring appears in a catalogue or you are reordering against an approved photograph — specify the die-formed texture instead and we will quote it as its own line.
Why does this ring weigh so much?
Because a wide band is simply more metal. A 10 mm band on a size 8 needs roughly three times the silver of a 3 mm band on the same finger, and at current silver prices that difference is most of the price gap between the two rings. If the weight is a problem for your price point, either narrow the band or move the design to 316L steel.
Can it be engraved?
Yes, on the inside face or the flat outer face if the width allows. Engraving a hammered surface produces an uneven line by design, so for a clean mark we would recommend the inside face or a smooth panel left unhammered specifically for your logo.
