Overview
A fine chain is a base-layer product: it sells on its own, it carries every pendant you put on it, and it is the piece customers buy two of. That makes consistency the whole brief — the links have to be even, the join at the clasp has to be clean, and the plating has to be thick enough that the chain does not go dull while a heavier piece beside it stays bright.
The one thing worth knowing about a plated brass chain is where it fails. Not in the middle, but at the clasp and the jump rings, where the metal rubs against itself every time the chain is opened. We specify the clasp and any end tags in a heavier plating than the body for exactly that reason, and the micron count for both is written line by line on the quotation so the choice is yours.
