Overview
An adjustable ring solves a real commercial problem: returns and exchanges caused by sizing. Because the band has a gap, it flexes onto a spread of finger sizes, so one SKU covers a range that would otherwise need three. For a market where the customer orders without trying the ring on, that is usually worth more than the small extra metal.
The trade-off is honest and worth stating. An open band is flexed every time it is put on, which works the metal at the two tips and puts the most wear exactly where the plating sits against skin. Sizing
An open ring is sized by its inner circumference when relaxed, not by the gap. Tell us the centre size of your target run and we will set the gap so the ring adjusts about two US sizes either side of it, then confirm the range on the drawing.
