About this knot u-hoop earrings

These earrings take the plain hoop and make it a shape: an elongated U that opens at the back on a small hinge, with a knot worked into the front of the run. The knot is formed metal — a twisted, looped section of the same bar — rather than a cord, so it holds its shape and keeps the smooth gold-tone finish across the whole piece. The U opens to go on and clicks shut through the ear.

The same idea is also run as an open oval hoop, so the look can be made in two silhouettes from one supplier: the squared-off U and the softer oval. Both are the same formed bar with a knot detail, so a small earring unit can be built around the pair. We quote these per pair.

Is the knot a real cord or rope?

No. It is formed metal — a twisted, looped section of the same steel bar — so it keeps its shape and the gold-tone finish covers it evenly.

How do these go on?
