About this wave collar necklace, rigid
This is a collar, not a chain. The body of the piece is a formed band of metal bent into a run of soft waves, so the shape is built into the material rather than strung from links. Because it is formed rather than linked, it holds its line against the neck and the wave stays even from piece to piece, instead of falling into a soft arc the way a chain does.
To go on it opens slightly and closes at the back, so the band needs a little give to pass over the head and then settles along the collarbone. It is made in 316L stainless steel, so the formed band does not tarnish and keeps its finish on a piece that sits against the skin.
