Is the red a gemstone?
No — the red hearts are cubic zirconia, not a coloured gemstone, so the colour is even across a run. The clear drops are cubic zirconia as well.
How is this different from your heart-link chain necklace?
That piece forms the heart into the chain link itself. Here the hearts and teardrops are set stones on a layered strand, paired with a fine pearl strand.
