This necklace makes the opposite choice to a stone-set chain. The links are plain oval links the whole way round, with no stones set into them, and the single feature is one round stone in a rope-twist bezel sitting at the front centre. Because the body is entirely plain, that one stone has to carry the piece, and it reads clearly against the clean gold-tone run.
It is a quiet, everyday chain rather than a statement, the sort of piece that goes over a shirt collar and layers without competing.
